The Pub Club (Feb 3): PSF Recruitment Weekend
February 3, 2017 @ 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm
This semester at The Pub Club we are developing our ability to effectively communicate the Big Ideas of our research to diverse audiences. One of the best ways to do this is practice, so we are taking advantage of the opportunity afforded by the Plant Science Fellowship Recruitment social & poster session to do just that. Dust off your poster and come on down to the MPS atrium to talk and meet with potential graduate students interested in all aspects of plant science research here at MSU. Don’t forget, these recruits are here to decide whether MSU is the right place for them to pursue their graduate degree, so let’s show them how the Community of Minds can be a unique asset to them. Don’t have a poster? Grab a few recruits and bring them up to the 4th floor for a personal tour. You can use the elevator ride up to try out your Elevator Pitch!
Plant Science Fellowships are awarded to outstanding students by the Plant Science Fellowship Committee, comprised of faculty representing departments engaged in plant science research (Plant Biology, Horticulture, Forestry, Plant and Soil Sciences, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and Plant Breeding, Genetics and Biotechnology. Outstanding candidates are nominated by the departmental Admissions Committee.
