This summer, The Pub Club moved to the MPS atrium to open up the opportunity beyond the 4th floor labs. The goal was to introduce others in our greater science community here at MSU to the concept of thriving through active participation in a Community of Minds. Pursuing careers in science is both rewarding and challenging, and The Pub Club/TheCOM seek to enhance the former by helping each other tackle the latter. As the summer winds down and we look forward to another school year beginning, take a few minutes to relax with your fellow scientists. Join us this Friday at The Pub Club for our final “open Gathering” in the MPS atrium. Have some snacks, share your science updates, learn about resources here at MSU for development of specific skills you may need for your career of choice. Most of all, take this opportunity to consider how the probability of achieving your specific career goals might increase by taking ownership of your career, managing your current phase of training as part of that career, and committing to participation in a group like The Pub Club to help facilitate this strategic management of your career.
