The VOID:

A collection of quotes gathered from Job postings describing what they are looking for in those applying to fill the VOID in their staff.  How many of these describe you?  Whatever the number, here at TheCOM it is our mission to help you identify and increase that number.

Drive results and problem solve unique challenges and situations. – Excellent spoken and written English, good oral and written communication skills. – Proven ability to work on a team. – Ability to train and mentor others. – Must be able to prioritize work to meet deadlines, multi-task. –  Must communicate and work well in a cross-functional, team environment – interact well with peers, students, industry, government agencies, and the general public – Advance the department through research, teaching, and outreach with relevant programs, goals and activities.  – Must maintain high scientific standards and technical integrity. – At least one first-author paper in a peer-reviewed journal. – Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate with other scientists in achieving team goals. – Candidates must be self-disciplined, self-motivated and have good verbal/written communication. – Qualifications include demonstrated writing and public speaking skills to communicate to a diverse audience. – The candidate should be able to work productively with diverse communities. – Organizing ability, capacity for teamwork and communication and experience with interdisciplinary working structures. – Possess independent research abilities and ambitious scientific goals – Students with the readiness and determination to succeed. – Students who demonstrate outstanding leadership qualities and keen business acumen. – Results oriented students who have high academic achievements.  – Ability to prioritize and balance multiple projects to meeting timelines – Must demonstrate a compelling interest and capability to deliver science-based information to a variety of audiences. – Students who can help us “create edge,”
