Are you looking to join an interactive research group that will help you hone your research, critical and creative thinking, and communication skills? Sheng-Yang He’s laboratory (www.thehelab.org) is seeking highly motivated individuals to join us in exploring new areas of plant-pathogen and plant-microbiome interactions (see above for topics).
Successful candidates should already have first-author publications in high-quality journals and will be encouraged to seek independent fellowships. Upon appointment, candidates will be evaluated and re-appointed on an annual basis, pending satisfactory performance and funding availability.
As a postdoc in the He lab, you will become a member of the plant science community at Michigan State University (MSU) and a part of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) research family. With unusual breadth and depth in the plant sciences, MSU (http://www.msu.edu) offers a stimulating atmosphere with excellent genomics facilities and colleagues for high-quality research in plant and microbial sciences. HHMI provides additional high levels of training and networking opportunities for postdocs.
