The Scientist Magazine Featured article for February 2016 highlights the important work being done to increase our understanding of plant defense. Our very own Sheng Yang He is quoted in the article regarding work done by Pub Club member Li Zhang to identify mutations of the JA receptor, COI1, that disrupt interactions with the phytotoxin coronatine without interfering with JA signaling (Zhang et al., 2015, PNAS, 112:14354-59).
