Workshop of Interest (Oct 20): STEM Teaching Essentials

MSU Associate Professor Kendra Spence Cheruvelil will be sharing “Strategies for Effective Creation, Implementation, and Assessment of Student Teams.” With a joint appointment with the Lyman Briggs College (the residential college for scientific study in a societal context) and the Department of Fisheries and Wildlife, her scholarly work focuses on limnology but she also is highly involved in Disciplinary-Based Education Research. She is actively engaged with the Ecology, Evolutionary Biology, and Behavior Program, the Center for Water Science, and the Environmental Science and Policy Program on campus.

The event is organized by the MSU CREATE for STEM research institute with a broad mandate for Collaborative Research in Education, Assessment and Teaching Environments for the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. The Institute is a collaboration between the colleges of Education, Natural Science, Engineering, and Lyman-Briggs residential college in coordination with the Office of the Provost.
