14th Annual Plant Science Graduate Student Research Symposium (Mar 23)

March 23, 2016 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

Dear Graduate Students, Faculty, and Staff, We invite you to participate in the 14th annual Plant Science Graduate Student Research Symposium on Wednesday, March 23, 2016. It is our hope that this event will allow students, faculty, and staff to learn more about the research that is conducted in the plant science departments at MSU. We view this as a great opportunity to exchange research ideas, polish presentation techniques, and make and renew friendships as well as receive valuable feedback from respected and expert faculty. Authors may present research in a poster or oral session. The deadline for abstract submission is 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 18, 2015. We encourage students to share research which they have presented recently at academic meetings, intend to present in the near future, or share their general research interests. Over $900 will be awarded to top presenters in four categories (basic or applied poster or oral) and participants may elect to receive written feedback from a faculty panel.

*First 15 registrant will receive Dairy Store Ice Cream Coupon

Oral sessions will be held in PLB 168 from 9-11am and 1-3pm. Posters will be displayed in the MPS atrium from 11-1pm. Refreshments will be available, and lunch will be provided from 12-1pm for presenters and attendees (registration highly recommended).

Please visit our website for additional information: www.PSGSRS.weebly.com. Faculty members and post-docs interested in volunteering to assist with poster or oral evaluations should contact Brian Poel (Horticulture) at bpoel@msu.edu. We appreciate your time and commitment in advance. We look forward to your participation! Sincerely, The 2016 PSGSRS Planning Committee
